Tunes Quiz uses new APIs available in the iPhone/iPod touch OS 3.0 to quiz your on your music library.

Try the Free version to see how basic game play works -- basically, you get 10 seconds to choose either the correct album/song/artist (each of these modes can be disabled) of the playing song. The free version is limited to 10 questions.

*** CHOOSE WHAT SONGS YOU WANT IN YOUR QUIZ (EXCLUSIVE) ***
Tunes Quiz lets you go through your music by playlist, artist, album, songs, composer, etcetera, and lets you select the songs (either individually or as a group, ex. add all the songs from an artist/album/playlist). This is a great way to compete against your friends and find out who really knows an artist best!

*** PLAY IN WIDESCREEN (EXCLUSIVE) ***
Can be enabled/disabled in Options.

*** MULTIPLAYER OVER BLUETOOTH ***
As long as your friend has an iPhone or iPod touch 2G or later, you can compete directly to see who is better. Tunes Quiz Free is able to play with Tunes Quiz players, so your friends dont have to pay to play with you.

*** BRAG TO YOUR FRIENDS ***
Have Twitter? Facebook? E-mail? Tunes Quiz lets you share your triumphs with your friends. It keeps track of your top ten scores, and lets you delete the more embarrassing ones.

*** EXTENSIVE OPTIONS LIST ***
CHOOSE YOUR OWN DIFFICULTY: Tunes Quiz doesnt force arbitrary limits on you. You choose the number of choices for each question (up to 12!), the number of chances to get it right, and Tunes Quiz calculates a bonus for you based on that.
CHOOSE YOUR QUESTIONS: Dont want to be quizzed on what song it is, but only what album? Or only want to be quizzed on the song title? Enable and disable each question mode.
DARK INTERFACE: Slightly slicker if you like black apps (I do).

you have to get this. this is like the game that came on the iPod 5th generation. its so much fun and addicting. youll keep playing to try to beat your high score. also it reminds you of songs you forgot were even on your iPod. this is a must buy if you like music.  

This game acquaints you with the music you have loaded on your iPhone or iPod Touch, making you think peg songs to their albums and artists. Certainly a game Id get on my phone, especially if Ive got a long trip ahead!

Ive tried all the music quiz apps on the app store and this is the only one worthy of being bought right now. Its immensely fun to play, well done. Its kind of bland to look at, but I guess that keeps things simple.

This app is nearly perfect. It loads your music and scores you very well on your guessing speed. I am very impressed with this game. Recomendations for updates : 1) PLEASE add multiplayer wheresongs are based off both ipods and streamed via bluetooth! 2) Add more config options (select playlist, artist, etc) 3) Fix freezing bug 4) Make it more graphically pleasing 5) Allow a hold button, so that after the song you can continue listening and than resume your game 6) Add lives ! If you guess 3 times and still dont get a song right, you loose a life. You have three lives. That would make the score mean something.

Really fun, worth the money and people who are dumb, its only compatible with iPod/iPhone software 3.0

This is better, but its still not quite there. My collection is mostly classical. Guessing just the artist (London Symphony), or just the song (Allegro), or just the album (Symphony #2) does not work well. I need the choices to be composer and album. i.e. "Beethoven, Symphony #4" vs. "Beethoven, Symphony #6" vs. "Mozart, Symphony 40" or whatever. Fortunately, with the album art, that makes it a bit easier to figure out what the choices represent. One big improvement in version 2 is the ability to pick the source, so at least now I can quiz over only classical, or only non classical, or only certain playlists. Also, for classical music, 10 seconds is often just not enough. An option to set the time limit longer would be nice. The whole scoring system does not mean a lot to me ... I just want to know if I can guess the song or not - points for speed or high scores - while Im sure some people like that - Im just competing against myself in games like this.

Some bad moments

Music App is better than this app. More features for less money, it is a dollar less, listen to me and dont trust the other reviewers, buying this app is a waste of 2 dollars.

To tell the truth... The application called music app is allot better and for half the price. Music app allows you to play multiplayer against your friends via bluetoothe or wifi. After a while of playing this game it kinda gets boring because there is no challenge because the only thing your facing is the clock. So if you wanna pay double the price and only play by yourself buy this app. Other wise music app is a better bang for your buck.
